Doreen -
You must be just two weeks Post Op? How are you doing? When do you expect
to switch to a cane? Are you doing much "walking" with your crutches?
I will follow you to Providence NE on 2/13/08. I'm looking forward to
"getting it behind me" - so to speak.
I assume from the fact that your operation was on a Thursday that you live
somewhere near Columbia? I live in Michigan and plan to return on Saturday
(day three). Needless to say, my wife will be doing the driving.
Best wishes,
Richard

Lacy,
Congratulations! It sounds like you are doing terrifically well. I had
horrible nausea my
second day, which was only resolved by, at the nurse's suggestion, doing
something I've
never done--inducing vomiting. And my kidneys really weren't working well.
You did
much better on both counts!
I am a classic needle phobic, and was a little unhappy with the pre-op and
in-patient
blood tests as both left me bruised when my usual practitioner doesn't leave
a scratch and
I don't feel a thing. So for anyone else going to Providence NE you might
want to ask them
to be careful or use a "butterfly." The nurses on IV duty were great
though--I agree with
you, Lacy.
Hope that you are feeling better every day --it's all forward from here.
Doreen
