Sandy, I had lapband Sept. 13, 07. My niece was here from Austin over Christmas. She had stomach stapling (don't know it's bariatric surgery name) 8 years ago but has re-gained most of her weight and feels like she does not know where to turn. I told her about Dr. Baker doing surgery until end of Feb. for under 10K. How can she find out if she is a candidate for this surgery??? She is 35 years old: healthy, gorgeous. She and her mom had this other surgery together and went home to NO support group/internet connection which I feel is the beginning of the problem. I know some of her type surgery has been reversed but I'm sure, like most things, it's not that simple. Do they remove the staples, let it heal and then band or what is the process???? this is of course, if she would be a candidate for it. I think one of the drs. in Benivides, Felts groups flies to Austin to do some surgery. You are my initial contact. Thanks for your time. Needless
to say, I feel like the band is the only way to go b/c it can be tightened/loosened to allow for problems and adjustments.
