2: Frequently Asked Questions
There is a Q & A file in the "files" section (updated version at
www.plagiocephaly.org/support/faq.htm). For our new members, be sure to check it out, as you will probably find many answers to YOUR questions! Always feel free to post any questions you have to the group, of course.
3: Photos
Are you wondering how your baby's head compares with other babies who have plagio? Curious as to how one helmet can differ from another? Just want your spirits lifted by the face of an angel or two? Check our "photos" section to see our plagio babies! If you would like to add your child to our site, follow the following directions:
Photos should be posted to the appropriate folder - i.e., if your daughter's name is Emily, post in the folder "Our Plagio Babies E"; if your son's name is Jack post in the folder "Our Plagio Babies J". Please also limit the number of pictures posted to 5 so that space remains on the server for everyone to post their photos (in the past we have had problems with people posting too many photos and then there wasn't enough storage space for everyone else's photos).
To post pictures:
- go to the plagio home page
(http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Plagiocephaly/) and click on Photos (left side of the page)
- click on Add Photos (top, right side of page)
- select "Add to an existing photo album"
- from the drop down list, select the appropriate folder - i.e., if your daughter's name is Emily, select the folder "Our Plagio Babies E"
- scroll down the page and browse for the picture(s) that you want to add to the folder - you can add up to 5 photos
- when finished, click the "Add Now" button on the bottom of the page.
That's it! If you have any questions, email the group for help.
4: Message Archives
There are thousands of messages in our archives - Take advantage of them! If you are looking for an answer to a certain question (decorating bands/helmets, fighting insurance, etc.), search our archives. There is a search box there for you to use, or you can scroll through each individual message. It's easy!
5: Insurance Help
In the FILES section, you will find a folder titled INSURANCE HELP (also visit
www.plagiocephaly.org/support/insurance.htm). Here you will find appeals letters, articles, and tips to fight your insurance.
6: Bookmarks
We have dozens of links for you! Check them out, and if you have a plagio related link to add, please do, or ask for help. The more info. we have to share, the better! :o)
7: Message Headers
To help members to know what a message is related to, and to help the search engine in the message archives, please change the header of your message (in the subject box) to a short line describing your comments/questions before sending it back to the group. Thanks!
8: Polls
There have been several polls posted in the past. Many are still open for you to vote, and all data is available for all members to read. Check them out, they can be pretty interesting!
